New cross country captains and upcoming cross country races

After a great couple of years as cross country captains Richard and I have handed over the cross country captaincy to the very capable hands of Clare Mullenger and Patricia Peever.

Next ladies x-country 3rd December - please run or support!

The next ladies Surrey League cross country is less than two weeks away on 3rd December and we really need a good turn out so please do run if you can and encourage any other Windmiler ladies to run too! It's loads of fun, totally free and every one who runs really helps the team. Just drop me an email if you can make it. (ladiescaptain@windmilers.org.uk)

We'll meet at 11.20am on the grass by Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park (postcode TW10 5HX).

Ladies Surrey League Cross Country Lightwater Country Park Saturday 8 October

Although only a small team of ladies for this event it is early in the Cross Country season  and plenty of future opportunities for others to join in!  It was a bright morning, lovely location and not too early a start! As always a great atmosphere with a wide range of runners of different abilities  taking part from Windmilers and  other clubs.

Men's Surrey League Cross Country - Lightwater

Mens_X_2011

Lightwater is a well know course from MABACs but it has been a few years since we have been there for a Surrey League. On a fine day we had an excellent turnout, with 22 attendees. The results on the day were excellent - WW is leading the league by over 100 points. Our last scoring runner would have made 5th on any other team. All this despite our first DNF for a while, perhaps suggesting that there is more to come.
