Sad news

Members who knew her will be sorry to hear that Andrea Chesterton (formerly Crocker) passed away much too young on Wednesday night, with her husband at her side.  She was a keen runner & was Membership Secretary in 2008.  She had been ill for some time but continued to live life to the full.  There will be a private service next week; Andrea asked for donations to MacMillan rather than flowers.

Olympic Routes may affect access to Windmiler sessions

The designated Olympic routes to the tennis at Wimbledon may affect how long it will take you to get to Windmiler sessions over the Olympic period. T here are road closures on Church Rd and nearby.
In particular, if you are going along Wimbledon Parkside from Tibbetts Corner there is NO RIGHT TURN into Windmill Road for the Windmill Car Park. There is also no right turn out of Windmill Rd.
This particular barrier may delay you getting to the Windmill for Sunday runs AND FOR THE 3 MILE HANDICAP 31ST JULY
