We are sad to announce the recent death of Michael Hawkes.

The more observant of you will have noticed that the UK are hosting the 2012 Olympics. How can the Windmilers capitalise on the energy/power/interest of this to provide members of the club with interesting event(s) and/or do something for the wider community?

VOLUNTEERS WANTED for both Men's and Women's (job-share) Captains - update to earlier notice
 
We've now got a volunteer for men's captain.  We’re still looking for someone to share the job of women’s team captain with Jess Anstee (as Richard Pickering has stepped down). 

Attacks on Women on the Thames towpath and running safely in general

There have been some recent incidents where a man has tried to grab people near the river in Barnes/Kew/Twickenham. Details of the police press release + some advice on running safely are included in "Read More".

We would like to encourage members to nominate inspiring Windmilers for the Olympic Torch Relay. 
 

New Windmiler Kit Samples - photos and advanced orders

We have now received samples of the new kit and thought that club members might like to see what it looks like The main change is the addition of the red stripes.
