Whether you're new to running, training for a full marathon or a 10k or fancy trying running to get fit; whether you're fast or slow, why not try one or two sessions with the Windmilers?

Thursday 24th Jan - training is on

Training from he Rugby Club will be on tonight although we may change the actual session. Obviously take care if there is any residual snow/ice around the side roads/car park area.

The AGM is confirmed for Tuesday, 29th November at Wimbledon Rugby Football Club (Beverley Meads, Barham Road SW20 OET).

#runandtalk Sunday 16 February

Following the success of the Windmilers' first #RunAndTalk event in November, our second event will take place on Sunday 16 February at 10 o'clock from the Windmill. Please note that it will replace the usual Sunday social runs. It will be a relatively short moderately paced run designed to give us plenty of opportunities for having great conversations and getting to know each other better. Following the run, we encourage everyone to continue those conversations afterwards in the Windmill Tea Rooms.  

Wimbledon Windmilers committee roles are up for election on 3rd March

Have you ever considered standing for a Windmiler committee role? The club’s committee roles (Management Committee and Club Officers) all come up for election each year at the Annual General meeting (AGM). The President’s role is up for election after 3 years. A list of known candidates for all committee roles will be posted by 26th February in an updated version of the AGM document at https://www.windmilers.org.uk/FilesDocuments, along with the 2020 AGM agenda, annual report.

Notice of AGM, 3 March 2020

The Wimbledon Windmilers Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 3rd March 2020 in the Lingfield Room, Wimbledon Village Hall, 26 Lingfield Road, Wimbledon, SW19 4QD.  Provisional timing is 7-9pm, although that may change depending on the number of motions and proposals that need to be included. The Agenda for the Annual General Meeting, the Annual Report, last AGM minutes and Statement of Accounts for the preceding year will be distributed to all members by 11th February.

Club ballot winners for London Marathon 2020 places - Shirley Twist and Jasper Lloyd

Our congratulations to Jasper Lloyd and Shirley Twist for winning the club’s two guaranteed places for the London Marathon 2020 in our ballot! The places were drawn at the Windmiler Dinner Dance on 23rd November 2019. We wish Jasper and Shirley the very best for their training over the coming weeks. Now it gets serious...

#RunAndTalk Inaugural Event: Sunday 24 November 10.00 at the Windmill

The Windmilers marked World Mental Health Day in October with the launch of our Run and Talk Programme which aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma and mobilize efforts to support good mental health. Our first Run and Talk event will take place at 10 am on Sunday 24 November, replacing the traditional Sunday morning social runs. It will be a gently paced run which will provide an opportunity for us all to talk and get to know each other better (with option of shorter runs for those who would prefer).

Town Hall Discussion 1st October

We're keen to hear more from Windmilers throughout the year about topics that interest and affect all of us. On Tuesday 1st October, we held another "town hall discussion", an informal  chance for members to have a say about the club i n a relaxed setting.
