Whether you're training for a full marathon, or a 10k, or fancy trying running to get fit, whether you're fast or slow, why not try one or two sessions with the Windmilers?  Why not come along on a Sunday morning to Wimbledon Common Windmill (at 10 am). when we split into groups that run 3, 5 or 7 miles, and see whether you enjoy it?  Have a look at our facebook page and our instagram account too!

Thursday 24th Jan - training is on

Training from he Rugby Club will be on tonight although we may change the actual session. Obviously take care if there is any residual snow/ice around the side roads/car park area.

Note for Your Diaries #RunAndTalk Inaugural Event:

The Windmilers marked World Mental Health Day in October with the launch of our Run and Talk Programme which aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma and mobilize efforts to support good mental health. Our first Run and Talk event will take place at 10 am on Sunday 24 November, replacing the traditional Sunday morning social runs. It will be a gently paced run which will provide an opportunity for us all to talk and get to know each other better (with option of shorter runs for those who would prefer).

Town hall discussion - 19th March

We're keen to hear more from Windmilers throughout the year about topics that interest and affect all of us.

We want you to have a variety of ways you can give us your ideas and suggestions. So on Tuesday 19th March, we're going to hold an informal get together. We're calling this a "town hall discussion" - it's a chance for you to have a say about the club in a relaxed setting.

International Volunteer Day 5 December

It’s International Volunteer Day. A good time to say thank you to all the people who help make the club work. Marshals, helpers, coaches, committee, events, races, social, welfare, etc. Nothing that the club does would be possible without people who are prepared to put in their time and effort. Many thanks to all who have done so in the last year, and to those who will in the year to come. If you’ve not done your bit, please think about what you do could, and don’t be shy if there’s something you’d like to help make happen.
