Cross country championships - entry deadline this Friday!

All Windmilers are warmly invited to take part in two major cross country races in early 2015: the Surrey Championships (3 January) and the English National Championships (21 February).

These races are two of the most prestigious events on the winter calendar and will attract large fields covering all levels of ability – think London Marathon rather than the Olympics! The national championships are only held in southern England once every three years, so there won't be such a great opportunity to run them until 2018 at the earliest.

The venues for both races are easily reached by public transport and competitors and spectators are encouraged to travel together from Wimbledon station (arrangements will be advised nearer the time).

And if any further incentive is needed, all runners who take part in at least four major cross country races (Surrey League or championship) during the 2014/15 season will receive a souvenir T-shirt!
