Mob Match in memory of Helen Furze (nee Perkins) - Sat 29th Nov 9am at Nonsuch Park parkrun.

WINDMILER RESULTS

MOB MATCH RESULTS - Striders finished top in this friendly competition between our 2 clubs. It was a great turnout from both clubs and an appropriate occasion to remember Helen.

"Hi Jeff

Attached are the results from Saturday’s mobmatch.

I have shown the scoring using two methods : Scores in red are for the scoring system when all runners are counted. Scores in green are for the scoring system when equal numbers of runners from both clubs are counted.

I have simply taken the results as listed by Nonsuch parkrun – so I have only included those runners either listed as Striders or Windmilers. There were a number of Striders who either forgot their barcode or were listed as belonging to another club : these runners have NOT been included.

On behalf of Striders please pass on our thanks to all those Windmilers who ran or supported at the race. It was fantastic that over 100 runners from both clubs were there to make it such a memorable occasion.

Subject to Neil’s agreement, I think it would be great to keep this going as an annual event.

Thanks

Chris Morton

Striders of Croydon"

We are taking part in a Mob Match in memory of Helen Furze (nee Perkins) this Saturday 29th Nov 9am at Nonsuch Park parkrun.

Here are the details if you would like to participate:

1) Everyone is welcome whether you knew Helen or not

2) The "mob match" is a friendly "competition" to to celebrate Helen's life and running achievements and to get together to remember her. There will be a team from Striders of Croydon (Helen's other club) and also a family and friends "Team Helen".

3) The parkrun is 5K at Nonsuch Park: http://www.parkrun.org.uk/nonsuch/

4) You need to resgister on the parkrun website and set your club as Wimbledon Windmilers: http://www.parkrun.org.uk/nonsuch/

5) Bring your parkrun barcode with you

6) Please do not use the car park adjacent to the Mansion House as this is for visitors to the Mansion House and would soon become jammed by parkrun cars.
There are three carparks in Nonsuch Park all equidistant from the start of parkrun - approx 500m. Two carparks off the London Road, Ewell and a car park off Ewell Road in Cheam. http://www.parkrun.org.uk/nonsuch/course/

7) Race starts at 9am and so please arrive in good time.
We will try and take a photo of participants at 8.30am.
Toilets at the start, baggage drop, warm up at 8.45am and run briefing at 9am.

8) Please wear club kit if possible.

9) Any questions: reply to this email.

10) .. and finally, if anyone is going along but not taking part, the parkrun have asked us for some help with the race - if you can do this contact me asap.

Thanks and have a good run,
Jeff
