Wimbledon Windmilers committee roles are up for election at the AGM, 7pm on 3rd March

Have you considered standing for a Windmiler committee role this coming Tuesday at the AGM? As previously announced, this year’s AGM will be held at 7pm on Tuesday 3rd March 2020 in the Lingfield Room, Wimbledon Village Hall, 26 Lingfield Road, Wimbledon, SW19 4QD.

The club’s committee roles (Management Committee and Club Officers) all come up for election each year at the Annual General meeting (AGM). The President’s role is up for election after 3 years. A list of known candidates for all committee roles will be posted by 26th February in an updated version of the AGM document at https://www.windmilers.org.uk/FilesDocuments, along with the 2020 AGM agenda, annual report. There is also a ‘Role profiles’ document that explains what each role does.

Some of the current committee members are standing down, and so we are particularly focussed on getting the following roles filled:

  • Social Representative
  • Communications Representative
  • Membership Representative
  • Chair

This is a great opportunity to get more involved with the club. In some cases the current committee members are happy to continue, if elected. But others aren’t. So please don’t assume that everything continues as it is, with the same people doing it. You can also get involved in a non-committee role – the club depends on people volunteering for these roles and new faces are always welcome.
