Had a hard strengthening session yesterday and my legs felt shot this morning. Combined with plenty of food and drink on holiday last week I was convinced sub 55 minutes was outside my reach. So I was pleasantly surprised with my finishing time today. I do like this venue though, and it is "home" to both my 5K and 10K PB's so I certainly think its a quick course. Certainly felt like the scorching hot days of the summer were over; I didn't remove my thick jumper until the last minute.
