Bethlem Royal Hospital parkrun

Race Date: Saturday, 22/06/2019
Race Distance: 5 Km

Joined my brother's family at this relatively new course (only the 5th time it has been run), held in the grounds of a mental health institution. Course is 2 anti-clockwise laps round 2 large grassy areas with a pinch point on the path between them where we run in different directions, separated by a line of cones. Highest number of finishers, boosted by another large local run being cancelled. Interesting seeing QUIET signs being held up during the briefing, like they have at the tees at the major golf courses. Saw Mark Shotton there and shouldn't have told him that Soo Yau held the club course record. When I caught up with him after 4 km, he sped away to ensure he got the record! Join me back at Wimbledon net week when I run for the 550th time there, so will bring my Mum - it was too cold when I ran my 600th run.
