Our hosts at Wimbledon RFC are getting some work done on the main hall during early April which would mean very restricted facilities. Instead we're taking up Belgrave Harriers' offer of a temporary base at Belgrave Hall (Denmark Road, Wimbledon, SW19 4PG).

The dates to remember are Tuesday 4th, Thursday 6th, Tuesday 11th, Thursday 13th and Tuesday 18th April. We should be back at the rugby club on Thursday 20 April but will keep you updated.

Details of Belgrave Hall can be found here, including a map and bus information.

For those who are driving, parking is free in the surrounding streets from 6.30pm. Denmark Road itself is tight (and one-way) so Murray Rd is a better place to start looking for places. There are six cycle stands nearby on Ridgway. For those who are running, it’s at the top of Denmark Road, which may be familiar from Thursday night ‘Seven Hills’ sessions. The 200 bus stops close by at Wimbledon Telephone Exchange stop.

Coaches will be there early and open up the wooden side gate, through which there is access to changing rooms and toilets. Male downstairs, female upstairs. Bring a water bottle to fill in the kitchen. It’s possible to leave bags, coats etc, although there could be another group using part of the building for pilates or karate. There are (small) lockers, if you bring a padlock.

Timings remain the same as the rugby club - arrive between 7 and 7.15pm. The session will start at 7.15. with any announcements and a welcome for new runners. (If you think you might need more time to sort yourself out in an unfamiliar building, then please come closer to 7 than 7.15.)

Belgrave also have a gym facility downstairs - they’ve offered membership at £100 for four months, so if that’s of interest then do take a look.

If you know of anyone who’s likely to come to training but who could have missed the messages, please pass on the info about the change of location.
