Parkland Relays - 7pm Weds. 25th May Richmond Park

One of the most popular events on our annual calendar – the Parkland Relays in Richmond Park - returns on Wednesday 25 May (7pm start). The Windmilers fielded almost 20 teams last year and all members are very welcome to sign up for this year’s edition.

The course and format remain unchanged from last year, with each runner tackling an undulating 2.8-mile route as part of a relay team.

The start/finish area is at the top of Spankers Hill (close to Robin Hood Gate) and there will be a social from 9pm onwards at the Telegraph pub on Putney Heath.

Please let Annie & Bronwyn or Gordon & Simon know via ladiescaptain@windmilers.org.uk or menscaptain@windmilers.org.uk by Friday 13 May if you’d like to run so that we can submit our teams to the host club Thames Hare & Hounds. Do also mention if you have a particular preference for which leg you run (useful if you plan to arrive late or leave early). Later leg runners don’t go off until 7.30-7.45pm so there is still the opportunity to take part even if you’re unable to arrive in time for 7pm.

For those of you unfamiliar with the route – or just wanting to re-acquaint yourselves – there will be an opportunity to recce the course during the club training session on Thursday 12 May.

We hope to see you next month for what should be another great evening of racing.
