Now, is your New Year’s resolution to give something back to your beloved running club? Now is your chance! All roles will become vacant for re-election at the AGM in March. Many roles are (or can be) shared. The deadline to apply is 24th February.

The following positions currently have no candidates so please do express your interest now! Just expressing interest is not a binding commitment so don’t be shy. And If you have any questions, please do ask current Chair John or any member of the committee.

VACANT ROLES

  • CHAIR: Leads the club to achieve the club vision, short term and long-term goals. Leads the management committee.
  • COMMUNICATIONS REPRESENTATIVE: Acts as the ‘voice of the club’ keeping members informed of club news. Delivers multi-channel communications using website, email newsletter and social media.
  • SOCIAL REPRESENTATIVE: Organises a variety of social events for members throughout the year, including ticketed events and informal socials. Arranges the annual awards dinner dance for November/December.
  • WEBTEAM MEMBER: Alongside other webteam members, provides IT support to maintain the ongoing smooth operation the club’s email, newsletters, online platforms, website and results database. Tasks are shared according to individual expertise.
