5 km, Saturday 5th October 13:00, Nonsuch Park, Stoneleigh, Surrey KT17 2DE
You do need to be EA registered and wear a club vest/t-shirt for this race. The membership team and Kit Rep can help with these.
Please let the Team Captains know by Monday 30 September if you would like to run in this race. If you haven’t run with the team before, please let us know your EA number and age/date of birth. The club does pay the entry fee for each runner and it is the Club Champs the following day, so please make sure you can definitely make the date before signing up.
The age categories are: Seniors (4 runners per team), WV35 (3 runners per team), WV45 (3 runners per team) and WV55 (3 runners per team).
Nonsuch Park is easily accessible by public transport by train to Stoneleigh or Cheam, or the 93 bus runs from Wimbledon. The organisers say that car parking is not generous. More details here.
Surrey Cross Country league
We will be running in Division Two this year, which means that the men’s and women’s teams will be running at the same venues. We do encourage runners of all speeds and ages to come and join us for these races, as having a large turnout does help our team score. Race lengths are usually between 5k and 8k in length. Dates and locations are as follows:
- Race 1 – Saturday 12 October – 14:00 Reigate, 3.75 miles
- Race 2 – Saturday 9 November – Holland Sports, Hurst Green, Oxted
- Race 3 – Saturday 11 January – Oxshott
- Race 4 – Saturday 8 February – Lloyd Park
Championships
Timings are yet to be announced, but dates and locations are as follows:
- Surrey Masters Cross Country Championships (if you are 35 years or older) – Saturday 26 October – 13:30 Nonsuch Park, 6.3 km.
- London Cross Country Championships – Saturday 16 November – Parliament Hill
- Southern Masters Cross Country Championships (if you are 35 years or older) – Saturday 7 December, Lloyd Park
- Surrey Cross Country Championships – Saturday 4 January – Lloyd Park
- Southern Cross Country Championships – Saturday 25 January – Beckenham Place Park
