We hope that everyone had a good break over Christmas and New Year! If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to do more trail running, then we have just the thing for you – some more information on our 2023 season fixtures.
The third race of the Surrey Cross Country League will be on Saturday 14 January. The race will be at 1pm for Men, and 2pm for Women. The venue is Chobham Common .
If you would like to take part please contact the women’s captains (Bernadette + Ella ) or the men’s captains (Phil). All are very welcome (but you do need to be EA registered to take part)!
The race start is 1.7m walk from Sunningdale train station. If you will be driving, the postcode for the car park is GU24 8TL. If you are going to be driving and have spare seats, please let the Captains know or post via the team WhatsApp channels to offer a lift to other runners.
They describe the course as “There are no real sharp climbs. The underfoot is hard, quite rocky paths and only a few muddy sections.” The course is 2 x 3.8km loops.
Looking further ahead, the fourth and final league run this season will be 11th February, venue and time still to be published.
