1. Wimbledon Dash 5k (Surrey County 5k Road Championships)
This takes place on Sunday 15 August 2021 in Wimbledon Park starting at 9am. Details and entry for the 5k can be found here: https://rm.sportsystems.co.uk/Register/100125/Meeting.
Whilst it is a “County Championships” it is open to anyone, so please enter yourselves if you are interested in taking part.
2. Dash for the Splash
Taking place on the same day, Sunday 15 August 2021, is THH’s trail race on Wimbledon Common. Details and entry can be found here: http://www.dashforthesplash.com/
Might be a good warm-up for the cross-country season?
3. Surrey Road Relays
These are scheduled to take part on Saturday 4 September 2021 at Wimbledon Park track. These are usually a great team event where each runner does a 5km lap. We’ll be in touch shortly once entries are open.
4. Dates for this year’s Surrey Cross-Country League
Dates are known but timings and venues are still being arranged. We’d be grateful if you can all put the below dates in your diaries, and we will be in touch as more information is passed to us:
- Saturday 16 October 2021
- Saturday 13 November 2021 (women)
- Sunday 14 November 2021 (men)
- Saturday 15 January 2022
- Saturday 19 February 2022
The Women’s and Men’s Cross-Country Leagues have now merged, which means that there is a chance that some of the above races will be at the same venues as the Men’s races. This will be great for being able to support each other without a trek across SW London.
