The next race in the MABAC series is a local one in Nonsuch Park, on Sunday 24th October starting at 10am. The start/finish area is near the Sparrow Farm car park, off London Road, but if you are driving, please note the following:
Really important DO NOT use the Sparrow Farm car park on the London road or the Mansion House Car park. The agreement between MABAC and the Local Council is that we do not use these. Please park on local streets and walk to the park or use the other car parks in the park. There are toilets near the Mansion House. There is a bus stop adjacent to the Sparrow Farm entrance.
MABAC races are less competitive than many others, and encourage participation. All members are welcome to complete either the 5 mile event (2 laps) or 2 1/2 miles (1 lap) and everyone scores points for the club. The course is all off-road.
If you have run in a MABAC 5 mile race already this year, please remember to bring your race number. If you have lost it, we can provide a replacement
Nonsuch Park is reachable on public transport, in particular the 93 bus goes close with the nearest stop at Church Hill Rd, but if you need a lift, pls contact Colin Harris.
