The new club website is live! It’s designed to appeal to both members and prospective members. Do tell us what you think of the new site, with any constructive suggestions – there is a feedback button on the home page.

Logging in

Members – if you want to log in to access member-only content please follow the on-screen prompts, and contact club secretary Anne if you need help. Your old Windmilers password will not work. For a while we’ll have two different logins – one to access results (your email address and a new password) and another to access club documents in the members area (you’ll need to request a ‘ClubBuzz’ username that will start with ‘win…’ – check your junk folder if the email doesn’t arrive from [email protected]), but over time we plan to bring it all together under a single login. Please forgive us for the inconvenience until then!

Why did we need a new site?

The old site was over a decade old and was built on old technology that cannot be maintained in the long term, so we had no choice but to rebuild it on a new platform. We know that members appreciated the old website, particularly the ease of accessing race results and training session details, and so we aimed to replicate the functions available on the old site, whilst adding some new features that are only available on a modern platform.

Built by club volunteers

The new site has been built entirely by volunteer efforts from club members. Particular thanks for technical expertise go to our webmaster Peter Metcalf, supported by Ralph Gilbert and Jack Towner.

Tested

A group of non-committee members kindly participated in a review of the new website and we have addressed a number of their suggestions already. Other points for improvement will be addressed over time. Ongoing feedback is welcomed.
