Location: Wimbledon Rugby Club, Barham Road, SW20 OET
Time: 7pm (runners gather, time for new and existing runners to speak to coaches); 7.15pm Depart
The links at the top right of the page show where we run to, or where the main session will take place, but these sessions always start from the rugby club.
The training plan provides more information, but most of the sessions follow a similar format.
7.15pm - depart from the Rugby Club, and warm up by heading to the location for the main session.
Check the Training Locations page for information on the distances to the session.
around 7:30pm (depending on the distance) - coach will explain the session, and we may run one repetition as a group.
around 7:35pm - Main set starts - this will either be a set number of efforts/recoveries, or a set time to complete as many efforts as you can. often this will be split into two sub sets.
Around 8:00pm - 8:15pm - jog back to the rugby club, get the heart rate back down, and speak to each other or the coach.
Around 8:25pm - 8.30pm - Stretching and drinks at the rugby club (indoors or outside, depending on the weather.
Some sessions such as Fartleks, or the 7 hills will be ongoing continuous runs, and won't follow the same structure, so do check with the coach on whether the session is suitable for your ability.
